The former owner Mr. Patterson developed the famous Patterson's Hot Dog Chili. Bost Distributing Company developed additional food products under the Patterson's label; included are Patterson's Sausage Gravy, Patterson's Chipped Beef & Gravy, Patterson's Barbecue, Patterson's Brown Gravy & Sliced Sirloin Beef, Patterson's Gravy & Beef Chunks, and Patterson's Beef & Beef Stock. Bost was the first to manufacture and market canned sausage gravy for grocery retail distribution.
